Our Doctors

Rodolfo Zamora

Dr. Zamora is originally from Maryland right outside of Washington, DC. Growing up there were always animals in his life, including a Bull Mastiff mix named Buster, and cats Rita, Newton and Sammy. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BS in Molecular Biology and Philosophy. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Zamora worked at the National Institutes of Health studying malaria. Following his research experience, Dr. Zamora transitioned to a career in animal care by working at an animal shelter in Virginia and a local veterinary clinic in Maryland, which inspired his application to veterinary school. He completed his studies in Veterinary Medicine at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.

His professional interests include geriatric/palliative care, cardiology, and dentistry.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Zamora enjoys cycling, international travel, and cooking plant-based foods. Dr. Zamora is fluent in Spanish and lives with his wife, Gillian, in Brooklyn with their Boston Terrier, Pancho, and cat, Jones.

Dr. Angelo Rosado Jr hails from the great borough of Brooklyn. Dr. Rosado has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in the Tri-State area since his graduation from St. George’s University in the summer of 2010. He is thrilled to call BVC his full time home. His genuine, God given desire is to provide compassionate, honest, and loving medical care to the four legged fur babies residing in and around the Bensonhurst area. On Sunday mornings he can be found fellowshipping with loved ones in church, followed by watching football with his brothers (in the winter) and enjoying outdoor walks in the summer.

He loves French bulldogs and has a strong interest in pain management.  Dr. Rosado looks forward to developing genuine and honest relationships with pet owners which will then allow him the freedom and flexibility to provide the best care possible to all of his beloved patients.

Dr. Pavel was born right here in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a BS in Biology before attending veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After work, you can find Dr. Pavel spending time with his girlfriend and their pug named Potato. He loves traveling, being in nature, and reading fantasy novels.

Dr. Pavel aspires to continually evolve and practice the type of medicine to make his family, friends, and mentors proud.

Our Staff

Carmen and Jesse

Office Managers

Carmen and Jesse have developed their passion for animals at a young age so it was destined that they would find themselves a career in the animal medical field.

Carmen started working in the veterinary field in 1997 when she decided to get an after school job at an animal hospital in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She quickly found herself as head technician of the clinic a few years later. Jesse began his career by working in an animal boarding facility. In 2009, while transitioning jobs to a new animal clinic, he joined a team, where he officially met Carmen.Carmen and Jesse became fast friends and it only took one year before these two fell in love.

In 2010, Dr Zawie took a position as an associate at the same clinic as Carmen and Jesse. A couple of years later in 2012, when Dr Zawie decided to open his first animal hospital in Bensonhurst, he offered both Carmen and Jesse a position. After several years of hard work Carmen and Jesse were promoted to managers of Bensonhurst Vet Care.

In 2017, Jesse and Carmen officially tied the knot! It has been an amazing journey for them both. When they are not at work they love spending all of their time with Jesse’s 10 year old son, Jacob. Carmen has enjoyed being a stepmom since Jacob was 2 years old. They love vacationing, and spending time with their family, friends and their 19 year old cat Henny.
