This was my first visit after just getting my English Bull Dog from a shelter and having a few issues that needed attention. The staff and DVM Renee Porfido were very attentive and took the time to evaluate "Buster" thoroughly, explaining I wasn't too familiar with his personality yet and did not know how he was going to react after all of the recent traveling and prodding. We discussed the circumstances and the attention needed after a brief exam and a course of action was presented with options! Let's just say Buster left there happier than when he came in. Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions and sharing your expertise!

My baby has been a loyal patient of Dr. Zawie for 12 years now (pup is currently 14). I have had negative experiences before with a previous vet that worked at the clinic so we always request appointments with Dr. Zawie. It has gotten more difficult to get an appt with him but the key is to be flexible in time (mainly weekdays). There is no one I trust more for the health of my baby than Dr. Zawie. Unfortunately, my baby is nearing his last days and Dr. Zawie has really gone above and beyond in answering all my non-stop questions. He patiently listens to all your concerns and will plan a course of action that best fits your schedule. I have never had a problem with getting back test results or felt I was being swindled by cost of care. Yes, they tend to be a little more expensive, but compared to the vets we have tried in the past, Bensonhurst Vet Care is worth it. Thank you, Dr. Zawie, for taking care of Oliver through the years.
